Information for Individuals

One World Foundation Africa offers employment preparation and support activities and arranges volunteer work placements for people wishing to gain UK work experience. We also offer signposting to services, advice on training opportunities, CV writing and job preparation, and we run social events.

Our volunteer placement service endeavours to best match the skills, interests and experience of our programme participants with local area volunteering opportunities. We currently have participants volunteering in charities and service organisations in a range of areas, including:

• Information technology
• Research
• Community development
• Financial management
• Project management
• General office work
• Elderly people and children

The work placement programme is open to people living in the London boroughs of Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Redbridge and Tower Hamlets.

To join this programme, please fill in the volunteer registration form (Word doc) and return it to the Volunteer Co-ordinator at the address below. Once we receive the form the Volunteer Co-ordinator will be in touch to arrange a time for a one-to-one meeting to discuss the volunteering programme and our other services.
